Četvoro dece, Peter, Susan, Edmund i Lusy, evakuisani su iz zemlje tokom drugog svetskog rata. Smeštaju se u kuću jednog starog profesora. Prvo Lusy, zatim Edmund i na posletku sve četvoro dece pronalaze  put kroz stari ormar, koji ih vodi u čudesnu zemlju Narniu. U čarobnoj zemlji Narniji susreću se sa životinjama koje pričaju, sa mitskim bićima i patuljcima. Ali u Narniji vlada zla Bela Veštica koja je učarala da je uvek zima i sneg ali da Božić nikada ne dolazi....
