Inspirisan istinitim događajima, film je priča o životu žene-trenera, Cathy Rush
(Carla Gugino). Godine 1971, ona ima 23 godine velikog iskustvo u sportu.
Nakon niza poraza u životu ona odluči ostvariti svoj san iz djetinjstva da postane
trener ženskog košarkaškog tima u malom školi "Immaculata Colledge".
Školu vode časne sestre, učenice nemaju dodira sa stvarnom sredinom, nema navijača
i novca za sportske aktivnosti.
Zahvaljujući vlastitoj istrajnosti, hrabrosti i pomoći časnih sestara, Cathy vodi
ženski tim i dovodi ih do pobjede na domaćem košarkaškom prvenstvu.
