Film govori o deset stranaca, ljudi koji naizgled nemaju nikakve veze jedan s drugim,
ali zapravo su svi krivi za neko ubojstvo za koje nisu osuđeni i/ili procesuirani.
Ubrzo gosti shvate kako je dolazak na otok zapravo prevera, no ne mogu otići.
Iako su njih 10 jedini gosti na otoku, jedan po jedan počinje umirati, a uzrok njihove smrti
prati stihove poznate pjesmice "Ten Little Niggers".

      



René Clairova verzija se ne bazira na romanu Agathe Christie, vec po njenom
sličnom kazališnom djelu u kojem je identitet ubice isti, ali je kraj drugačiji.
